My video card died. I haven’t played in 2 months. Ugh
When The Sims 3 arrives, I’ll post about that, but from my boyfriend’s computer. Can’t wait to fix mine!!!

This family, as hinted by their name, is having some problems getting along.  Edward and his wife, Opal, are both in the Oceanography career.   Neither parent can really connect with Rick, who is more interested in video games.

Rick invited his best friend, Violet, over to play some basketball, one of his newly found hobbies. Violet is really into sports, so she pretty much won each round.

I don’t remember her name, but the skintone-4 woman with her hair in buns and a blue dress (came with Nightlife) invited Cyd out for some fun downtown pretty much as soon as I entered the lot and the welcome wagon showed up.  I brightened the pic a little so you could see it.  I think the party was close to eight sims, and the game messed it up – there were two teens and a child in the mix.  As soon as they got out of the car, the child walked home, hah.

Cyd was chatting it up with all the ladies. He didn't know it, but he was looking for a wife to deal with him and his silly dog, Porthos, who won't eat out of the dog bowl.

One of the ladies Cyd was talking to said she'd set him up on a blind date. He accepted, and out of the sky fell a very very pregnant Nina Caliente! UGH - I didn't want him to like her, but I couldn't help him!

Just before exiting the house due to my alloted time with Cyd being filled, I found that he really wanted to see wolves - Cyd might later be a werewolf

After my time with Cyd, I moved onto the next house – the Larsons.  This family consists of Jodie and Jason Larson, twins, who are looking to start a business.  I think they both look like stylists, especially Jodie with her high cheekbones and exotic eyes.  So they decided to start a shop in their home. 

Looks to me like Jason came up with the idea, and trying to convince Jodie. She's going to be the manager though, Jason's the stylist. Mostly.

The first person to walk into the brand-new business was Natasha Una, local Grilled Cheese enthusiast. Gave her a makeover. It might be a little too bohemian, but I like it, for now.

Sorry I couldn’t post the day after my other one, like I said I would.  Mor engrish homewerk.

Tara is actually quite pretty, but she’s unusually looking.  I thought, even with her cat-lady lifestyle, she was quite classy.  So here she is with her wonderful new makeover!  I think it’s a Maxis hair from their Sim Store.  I figured that after her failed date, she was dating the wrong people, and should start over!  Tara moved out of her cat-lady house and into an empty lot by the beach. 

I thought that perhaps after both these things she could go out and get a suntan so as to attract some nice guys.  I didn’t think of the possibility she would be out long enough to burn…

As she attempted tanning, Julien Cooke happened to stroll by.  Julien is a Maxis sim that came with Freetime – he was said to have moved to Desiderata Valley after his rival, Zebest Quizine, stole his prize-winning recipe.  He was birdwatching and being a dork, so I thought she should introduce herself.  They talked a bit, and he left.  Then I had some weird game glitches and had to re-enter the house.  That night, Tara was thinking about inviting Julien on a date when the phone rang – he was on the other line, and asking her out instead.

They went to a lovely botanical restaurant, and while Julien thought about the lobster, Tara was eager for a hamburger.  She was delighted when the food arrived, but Julien looked a little disillusioned. 

It was a good date, but not totally fulfilling for either party. Tara spent the next few days of her short sim-life watching TV, digging in the sand, and working.  Oh, and feeding her stupid cat, Samantha, who refuses to eat cat food.  Only sim food. 

One day when Tara was moping around the house and feeling sorry for herself, being a family-sim and all, Julien knocked on her door.  She looked up at me and prayed (to me) that she would soon get married.  I suppose this was another sign, other than Julien autonomously calling her, they should be together.  If you can zoom in on her pouty-face, do so.  Even if you have to ctrl-scroll it.

I think Julien was a bit distracted thinking about something else, though.  American Pie grown up. *Shudder*

Quite a bit happened in the next few days.  The TV broke so Tara had to call the repairman, who bore an uncanny resemblance to a Mr. Claus.  She spent a lot of time with her cats.  Mickey likes to sit at the back bay window and look out at the ocean.  Samantha stays with Tara when she watches TV, even if it’s boring cooking shows.  At one point, a burgular came into the house, and woke Tara up.  Unfortunately, she beat up the cop and took off.  Tara didn’t get the money back for her rug and couch.  Faline grew up into a pretty black and white cat with the same cheetah spots as Samantha. 

One night after a swim in the ocean and a nice campfire, Julien proposed to Tara, and she was naturally ecstatic.  It’s about time Tara finally gets to have a family … outside her cats.

Soon after was the wedding.  Since neither of them really knew anyone else, it was a lonely private wedding on the beach where Julien proposed.

Just to follow up on the last post, here’s a pic of Alivia Green as a toddler.  Creepy, huh?

Anyhow, I’ve been trying to figure out how to pair all these stupid single sims I have from all expansion packs.  Guess I gotta start with one.  So I picked Tara Kat.  She came with the Pets expansion pack, and the idea was that she was the “cat lady” but she’s not old or anything.  And I found out she’s decended from the cat lady from the original Pets expansion for The Sims (1)!  I think her name was …Cornelia or something.  Tara Kat comes with two adult-age cats in her family, and one kitten.  The description wants you to have her breed and sell cats, but I hate creating all these sims/pets that will never be played, so she’s not gonna do that.  It also implies that acceptance of the youngest kitty, Faline, could go either way.

First, I decided that Tara should go on a date with one of the single welcome-wagon sims when she moves in.  Cyd Roseland showed up first, and I thought it’d be funny if the cat lady and the dog lover got together.  They went out to a downtown location for dinner and… it kinda sucked.  Cyd droned on and on about stuff Tara didn’t really care about and pigged out.  Tara in turn kept blinking whenever I took a picture.  SO I guess Cyd isn’t gonna work out with Tara. 

And of course, the many sims I’ve tried to hook up with Mr. Big (rich guy that came with Nightlife) haven’t been able to find them among the numerous NPCs, and here’s Tara that turns around after her date to find him.  UGH.  But he wasn’t interested either.

So she went home, packed her things, and moved her and her cats to the beach.  To start over.

I’m gonna give Tara a makeover.  I’ll post about it tomorrow.  TTYL

Sorry for being gone for such a long time, my english professor keeps assigning us ‘writing practice’ crap – we respond to articles she gives us, I HATE IT

Back to the Simmies – Remember Carlos Contender, the retired athlete star, and Isabel Baldwin’s uncle?  He’s dead.

Here’s what happened.

I was playing the Cordial family, twins named Kimberly and Samantha (probably named for the characters on Bewitched), who at the start of the game are hinted to become witches of opposite alignment.  They are the remake sims of Angela and Lilith Pleasant as adults.  Since I had just installed Mansion and Garden stuff, I had Samantha (good twin) go smell the flowers.  Shortly after, the tree in the back yard was struck by lightning.  Eventually, it was put out by the rain, followed by Mortimer Goth (came with the welcome wagon) getting struck by lightning also.  I bid the wagon farewell, for fear one of my precious would be killed.

I’m going to try to make this story short, sweet, and silly.  I’m sick of writing long boring shit, Sims are enjoyable and so should be the blogs.

After the tree simmered, Gabriel Green and Sam talked about how hot Dina Caliente was.  Gabriel agreed, so Sam thought she’d introduce him to Kimberly.  He talked to her, but didn’t really seem interested in anyone other than Sam.  Kim also tried her luck with Connor Weir, a hard working rich bachelor, but he didn’t seem to like her much either.

Sam proposed in her poorly lit bedroom after woohooing Gabriel Green, and he agreed.  With him came his romance-obsessed roommate, Chastity Gere, who was already friends with Kim when the game began. 

Chastity seems to like Kimberly a lot more than we are first informed.  She won’t stop whistling.

The next day, Kimberly invites her friend, the head witch of darkness, over for lunchmeat sandwiches.  They chatted between bites, and Kim jumped to her request - turn me into a witch.  Then the head witch bolted.  I don’t know where she went after that, she really did just disappear.  For some reason, Kim witch-izing caused Sam to slap… or cover… her head as she was walking to the sink to wash her plate.  Maybe the head witch slapped the back of her head as she walked out the door.

Sam took a bubble bath to think about the day’s events.  Kim was in the back room, behind the secret bookcase, having far too much fun.   And depending on the type of person you are, that could be a problem for everyone else.

In retaliation… or … response, seeing as a good twins probably wouldn’t retaliate… Sam called her friend the high witch of light.  She asked to become a witch also, and at least the good witch stuck around to watch.  When Sam became a good witch, the whole world got shiny – regardless of the sun’s absense.

Gabriel Green and Samantha Cordial, now Samantha Green which I think is so appropriate, were married in a backyard ceremony, it was rather sweet.  But boring, so I’m not posting any pics of the boring party.  Kimberly hung back and studied from her spellbook after everyone had gone.

One night a few days later, after having knocked back a few on an outing, Kimberly and Chastity shared a really sweet, tender kiss just before heading inside to their respective rooms.  They didn’t talk about it after, and soon the incident was forgotten.

Sam knew that she wanted a family, and that the teeny house they all squeezed into presently would burst if there were another family member, so Sam and Gabe went house shopping.  It went quickly, and their house choice was painfully obvious when they stood in the lawn.  There were pretty flowers and a pond and a little stone sculpture of a fairie.

Chastity got a room off the living room, Sam and Gabe got the master bedroom upstairs and Kim got a nice red room near their’s.  She keeps her cauldron near her bed, Sam uses the spare room for her’s.  Sam started showing her pregnancy and Kim would go on outings with Chastity and her friends.  One of them was Carlos Contender (dun dun duuun).  While the rest of her party was sitting at different tables ordering food, Kim was being wooed by Mr. Contender.  I love how the evil head witch is in the background, disapproving.  Kim bid the rest of the group farewell, and enjoyed Carlos Contender’s company for the rest of the night.

Later, Carlos couldn’t quite remember what they did on their date – he was aging, and it probably had to do with how many punches to the head he took during his boxing years.  He shrugged it off, and only realized the following weekend (when he was hanging out with Jessica Peterson) what exactly he had done – proposed!

Kim couldn’t wait to marry – she hated that Sam was ‘beating’ her.  And pregnant!  So Kim got the wedding together and it was nice and dark, just like she wanted.  In fact, just after I took this picture, the sun set, setting the mood perfectly.  Noone seemed to mind that the head evil witch was dressed like Mrs. Claus (I was like wtf is that in the sky? Oh, evil Mrs. Claus) or that General Buzz Grunt decided to invite himself from the sidewalk.  Chastity DJ’d and everyone participated in a dance competition.  For shame, Samantha.

Carlos’ first day at the Cordial home, he decided to investigate that huge cauldron in Kim’s room that was spewing out red smoke.  Kim didn’t tell him to stay away from it.  He leaned over and got a shot of something foul, puking in the bathroom a few seconds later.  Still undeterred (or stupid) Carlos took a look at Kim’s spellbook, which promptly latched onto his hand.  He almost lost it.

Sam gave birth to Alivia (latin for Peace or something), a little girl with brown hair and green eyes a little while later.  She thought the name was appropriate (so did I), and planned to raise her as a good little witch.  I’m excited. 

Carlos didn’t seem to take his wedding vows totally seriously.  Kim stayed home from work because she wasn’t feeling too well, but Carlos didn’t know that.  Chastity had been hitting on him all day, and he thought he’d take her up on that.  When Kim heard them in Chastity’s room, she teleported in there (yeeeah, awesome) with the intention of kicking everyone’s asses.  Instead however, she decided Carlos would look pretty funny fat.  …And acting like a chicken.  He was stinky on his own.  For some reason, Chastity felt that complaining about how much she hated the architecture on the roof was appropriate at that exact moment. 

 After making Carlos puke and do the chicken dance again, Kim had enough.  No idea where Chastity went, but Kim magiced the carpet on fire and left Carlos to fend for himself.  She headed straight for the kitchen.  This kind of work is hungry business, and that’s what Kim was – insatiably hungry. 

After Kim finished her lunch, she went to go check on her husband.  He was very quiet when she entered, and Kim took that as shamefulness.  She forgave Carlos for cheating on her.  Kim was surprised to see Chastity right behind her, apologizing profusely for seducing her husband.  Grimmy’s in the background calling in an airlift for Mr. Contender.  You can see him just behind Kim’s right leg.   

Kim got over her ‘loss’ pretty quickly.  She studied and crafted regeants in her spare time.  She found out she was pregnant!  So she did indeed have a lot of free time.  Enough, in fact, that she was evil enough to turn a bit green during her studies.  I wonder what kind of effect that’ll have  on the baby?

Eh, she was gonna raise him/her evil anyway.

I downloaded new skins around this time in the story.  They make everyone beeeeautiful, as demonstrated by lovely Alivia.

The only one however that doesn’t look absolutely fabulous in her new skin is Alivia, when she aged to a toddler.  I can’t wait to see what she looks like as a child or teen, but as of now, she looks kinda funky.

For some reason, WordPress keeps making my picture delete the one I inserted before it.  This happened all throughout posting (AGGRAVATING) but I guess I’m at the end.  I’ll post a pic of Alivia as a toddler the next time I post.

Background:  The Baldwins consist of Benjamin, Isabel (Niece of Carlos Contender, an elderly casanova), and their two kids, Sofia and Marcus, a child and toddler.

Marcus grew up uneventfully, and I gave him the curly hair from Mansion and Garden Stuff, looking very Enrique Inglesias.  Two days later, Sofia grew up to a teenager.  Even though the game hinted that she should be a knowledge sim, the dice rolled for a popularity sim.  I invited Carlos, Sophia’s great-uncle, because he was in their family photos so much I didn’t want him to miss her birthday.  Isabel seemed to be having some early-onset arthritis during the celebration.

Benjamin had to miss the party because he was at work – I’ve played two seasons of them, and he has the necessary skills, but he hasn’t been promoted yet (from inventor) because of his lack of friends…

 I gave Sophia a makeover, and she kinda looks like Rihanna.  I gave her hair also from Mansion and Garden, but I’m PISSED that it’s not animated.  Lazy EAxis didn’t even open CAS before shipping.

A few days after growing up, I decided she’d introduce herself to one of the fellow teens living at the apartment, I think name was Sean Peterson or something like that.  He thought she was hot, she thought he was hot, so she gave a shot asking him out on a date – but as you can see here, she got shot down pretty quick, and she looks REALLY upset about it.  Like she might punch him.

Sorry for the super short post, I haven’t been playing a lot lately, being sooo sleepy.  *Yawn*  I’m gonna go take a nap.

Bah, I haven’t had time to update!

So I’ve been excited to play the Riley and Cho households   These two families share an apartment building.  Timothy Riley and his daughter Sally live upstairs from Vivian Cho and her toddler Etsu.  It’s hinted to marry these two together.

So I did.  It only

took like a day – they went on a date and Timothy surprise-proposed during dinner.  They went dancing at a club and everything.  During their wedding party, which was held at the Cho apartment, Sally invited her friends and they had a blast.  Tina Turner loves to show up at my sims’ houses, apparently.  Everyone brings her home but because she’s not in a home yet they can’t call and make friends. :[

Since the wedding, I downloaded Gunmod’s Radiance Light System from ModtheSims2.com (here: http://modthesims2.com/download.php?t=290746 ) and it’s made my game look SUPER awesome.  I love how they put in a dawn and dusk lighting, and the lighting looks neat against my sims.

It’s pretty easy to see in this picture of what was formally Sally’s room.  She’s kinda ticked because she keeps waking up to Etsu crying, and both parents seem oblivious.

Etsu aged well, but they didn’t throw a party or anything.  I don’t bother with toddler parties (or children for that matter) unless there’s existant friends or extended family.

Since then, Vivian has become preggo (yay!) because I love babies, and I like to have a product from a marriage.  I love how Tim tried really hard to talk to Vivian while she pigged out on burnt pancakes.  Tim and Viv have been tending to Etsu really well before she grew up – she learned all her toddler stuff and they were split between the parents.  Sally is kind of being ignored, but I don’t think she really cares, she invites friends over almost every day.  She’s pictured here with Todd Todd (my god) and Sharla Ottomas.  I don’t think I’m even going to roll the dice for Sally, she’s definitely a popularity sim.

So Vivian gave birth, really late it seems, and she had twins!  Keeping with the asian names, I named the girls (yay) Kuri and Anzu, which mean chestnut and apricot.  It’s just cute.  I suppose they could squeeze into the apartment if it was a single baby birth, but not twins, so I moved them to a house downtown.  Vivian is exhausted, but Timothy is in his normal super happy mood.  I can’t wait until the twins grow up

I don’t think Sally likes the new house, but then again, that’s kinda how she looks all the time.

Oh, and before I forget, I’ve never played the house before they moved in, but I guess for the first few days, the sidewalk was napping or something.

So after getting to the Autumn mark of the Calientes, the last house of Pleasantview was Don Lothario’s.  A bit of background is that he is the town cassanova, and his deck is said to be the last place Bella Goth has been seen.  He is involved with both Calientes, as you remember, and I made sure he didn’t marry Cassandra.  His first adventure showed up with the new nanny, because the other one married Daniel Pleasant…

And would you believe her name is Shenene?  I think that’s how it’s spelled, I just know that when I read it aloud it was “shah-NAY-nay”. 

After spending the entire night with Shenene, Don got to take her to his room.  I love how it’s decorated with pictures of women, one of them being Bella Goth.  The one on the right can only being Nina Caliente, even though her hair isn’t that short, and the one in the middle could be Kaylynn or something.  Meh, I’m only analyzing the pictures because the one on the left is intended to be Bella.

So I said goodbye to Pleasantview and moved onto the town I’m most excited to play, seeing as TS3 is coming out so soon, Belladonna Cove.  I should have played them in expansion order, but whatever.  Belladonna Cove came with Apartment Life, the newest expansion.

I love babies, so the first house I stopped at was the Patels.  Ramir and Ana are expecting; Ramir is in the political career track and Ana is a hostess.  Ana’s super feminine face made me hope that this baby was going to be a girl, but I’ve decided NO RELOADS!  Once the baby is born, I will not reload the game to get a different gender.  So, unfortunately for me, the baby was a boy. 

 I named him Cruz, to keep with the theme of Spanish names.  I love how Ramir is smiling in the background, as if he’s like “oopsie daisy!” with the Simpson’s Dr. Nick’s voice.  He’s an oddball.  Ramir loves to cook and then eat outside.

The last family I played were the DeBateaus.  They live in the ritzy part of Belladonna Cove in a high-rise apartment suite.  Armand DeBateau was originally married to Jessica Peterson, and according to the game wanted an heir, but Jessica wasn’t interested, so they broke up.  What’s odd to me is the memory of her cheating.  I’ll have to check out her memories later tonight.  Armand adopted Tara after Jessica moved out, and she is his pride and joy, and wears lots of eyeliner.  I thought it was weird she was supposedly so smart, when she autonomously went and checked herself out in a medicine cabinet.  See, there’s one WITH and one WITHOUT a mirror.  Her’s has no mirror.When I loaded up this house, they already had a mission and had no idea – Marry Armand to Dina Caliente. 

I spent days and days waiting for the right sims to walk by so he could greet them and possibly meet her, but it just wasn’t working.  I tried going to community lots and spamming walk-bys.  Eventually preggo Nina walked by, and I had her invite her sister over.  Hooray!

I can’t decide if I want Dina to be very easily impressed or very good at finding the right tree to bark up.  The DeBateaus are LOADED, and Dina’s finally going to be able to live the life she really, really wants to.

It took a little while, but I eventually coerced Armand into falling for Dina.  I figured Dina would want a big beautiful wedding, but neither of them really knew anyone that would come.  They invited some friends and tried not to get the hideous bartender lady in any shots.

Tara was dancing the whole time, and was really good at getting her head, or at least the back of it, into a few otherwise decent shots.  When Dina moved in, so did her baby, and for a few hours I got nervous about where it was going to show up because I couldn’t find it.  Sure enough, on schedule, it popped up on the sidewalk by the edge of the lot.  Tara ran over, scooped the baby up, and ran back in the house.  I don’t need anyone calling the cops on a wedding.

Everyone went to go get cake, some danced, some were in the hot tub.  It was a good night, and after the party, Dina hopped into HER new hot tub to soak for another 8 hours like she did before the party.
